How to apply UK Youth Mobility Visa Scheme
You can apply for a Youth Mobility Visa UK Scheme (T5) if you:
- want to live and work in the UK for up to 2 years
- are aged 18 to 30
- have £2,530 in savings
- have certain types of British Nationality or are from certain countries or territories
- meet the other eligibility requirements
This visa has replaced the Tier 5 (Youth Mobility Scheme) visa.
Documents you must provide:
When you apply you’ll need to provide:
- a valid passport or other document that shows your identity and nationality
- a bank statement showing you have at least £2,530 in savings
- your tuberculosis (TB) test results if you’re from a country where you have to take the test
- You need a blank page in your passport for your visa.
- You’ll need to provide a certified translation of any documents that are not in English or Welsh.
- Depending on your situation, you might need to submit more documents.
You must demonstrate that you have the financial resources necessary to cover your living expenses while relocating to the UK for you and your dependents.
If you are applying from abroad or while lawfully present in the UK but haven’t been here for more than a year, you must provide the following information:
You have a specific sum of money for sponsored work routes (youth mobility scheme UK excluded), your sponsor has promised to provide you with at least that much for the start-up route, and your endorsing body has verified that you have received at least that much.
If you have been living in the UK with authorization for at least a year at the time of application, you do not need to provide proof of your financial situation.
Your dependants do not need to show funds if they have been living in the UK for 12 months or more with permission on the date of application.
